Together Credit Union Named a 2025 "Top Workplace"
St. Louis, MO – The St. Louis Post Dispatch announced Together Credit Union as a 2025 Top Workplace. The Top Workplace award program recognizes Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area employers that have built exceptional, people-centric workplace cultures.
Nearly 80% of Together Credit Union's employees participated in an anonymous feedback survey, which assessed six workplace experience themes that drive employee engagement, including whether an employee feels fairly valued; respected; supported; enabled to grow; empowered to execute; and closely aligned with the company’s mission.
“We’re excited to be celebrating growth across every category year over year—and I’m especially thrilled about our double-digit improvement in our overall workplace experience,” shared Melissa Thinger, Vice President of People and Culture at Together Credit Union. “This progress reflects the dedication and spirit of our team, and it’s a testament to the great place we have here.”
For 14 years, the St. Louis Post Dispatch has partnered with Energage, an employee survey company, to administer the Top Workplace award program. Energage selects and invites employers to participate, then distributes a 24-question survey on workplace culture to employees for feedback, which serves as the sole basis for determining which employers make the Top Workplace list. This year, 2,682 organizations in the Greater St. Louis region were invited to participate.
According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Energage calculates the results and then groups employers by size to "best compare similar employee experiences." Participating companies are then evaluated based on employee feedback captured by Energage's confidential, research-based engagement survey, which is powered by 19 years of feedback data from over 30 million employees.
Together Credit Union, which employs 422 full-time team members, is recognized as a mid-sized 2025 Top Workplace.
“Over the past year, our leadership team really leaned into building a stronger, more connected culture—and I couldn’t be prouder of the effort and genuine care that everyone has brought to the table,” added Thinger. “That said, our journey isn’t over. With this momentum behind us, we’re more energized than ever to keep enhancing our workplace and earn our spot as a Top Workplace once again in 2026.”
