Special Benefits for Young Members
Helping the next generation learn to confidently navigate the world of money is one of our most important goals. We offer several special accounts that grow with young members and help them learn key financial skills at every age to save, spend, and plan ahead.
The best time to start is today! And whether you are a family member, guardian, or a young member learning to navigate your personal finances, we’re here to help.
Getting Started with Membership
The first step is to open a member account in the young person’s name. Like any Together Credit Union membership, this starts with just a $5 opening deposit in a membership savings account.
Membership Savings Accounts by Age Group:
- Junior Account Savings – for members age 0–9
- Youth Group Savings – for members age 10–13
- Young Adult Financial Savings – for members age 14–21
For members under age 16, the savings account can be set up as a standard joint account with an adult joint owner, or as a trust account. See our Frequently Asked Questions below for more on the pros and cons of these options.
