All of Us Together...New Name, Same Purpose

 

An exciting new look (and name!) is coming to Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union, American Eagle Credit Union and Purina Credit Union this November.

While three names have served us well, they do cause some confusion among members and within the marketplace. Through significant research, member and potential member feedback has been gathered and used to define our solution of one unified name: Together.

This is a change in name only! This name change is not a result of a buyout or merger. In fact, we believe our new name will serve everyone together as we continue to grow.

Will my account number change?

No, there are no changes to your accounts or account numbers.

 

 


Will the routing number change?
No, the routing number will stay the same. (281082915)

 

 

 

Can I continue to use my Visa credit or debit card?

Yes, you can continue to use your credit and debit cards without interruption.

The next time your current card is due for replacement (through normal expiration, loss, etc.), you will receive a new card with the new Together Credit Union logo and colors.

 

 

 

Can I continue to use my checks?

Yes. Your account number and the credit union routing number will stay the same, and your checks will continue to work as normal.

Any new checks you may order will come with the new Together Credit Union logo.

 

 

 

Do I need to change my direct deposits, automated payments or automatic withdrawals?

No change necessary! Your account number and the credit union routing number will stay the same. All electronic and automated transactions will continue as usual.

 

 

 

Is the website changing? Will my bookmarks still work?

The address for our website will change to togethercu.org. You will see the change as of November 12.

Any existing links or bookmarks you may have for our websites will continue to work and automatically redirect you to the new address. You may choose to update your bookmarks to skip the redirect step.

The website will look very similar to the site you are used to, just with the new branding.

 

 

 

Is Online Access (Online Banking) changing?

The only changes to online banking will be in the new branding and the web address. If you currently have bookmarks to online banking, they will continue to work and will redirect to the new address beginning November 12.

Because the address is changing, you will be prompted for a one-time verification code when you first log in. You can opt to receive the code by text, phone call or email.

Once logged in, Online Access will continue to work exactly as it does today. Any bill payments, transfers, alerts or account settings you have in place now will stay the same.

 

 

 

Is MobileAccess+ (mobile banking) changing?

The only change to mobile banking will be in the way it looks.

The mobile app login screen will be updated with our new Together Credit Union logo beginning November 12. The mobile app icon and colors inside the app will change the next time the app is updated on your device.

The first time you log in after the brand change, you will be prompted for a one-time verification code. You can opt to receive the code by text or phone call.

Once logged in, MobileAccess+ will continue to work exactly as it does today. Any bill payments, transfers, alerts or account settings you have in place now will stay the same.

 

 

 

Why am I being asked for a one-time verification code when I log in?

Because our website and online banking are moving to a new address (togethercu.org), the first time you log in to OnlineAccess or the MobileAccess+ app, you will be prompted for a one-time verification code.

You can opt to receive the code by text or phone call (or by email for OnlineAccess). If you have trouble logging in, please contact our call center at 800-325-9905 for assistance.

 

 

 

Is the new name the result of a buyout or merger?

No, this is a change in name only. Nothing about our mission or the members we serve is changing.

Previously, as Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union, we also maintained divisions under the names Purina Credit Union and American Eagle Credit Union in certain locations. Although we operated under three names, we were one organization with a single purpose. As Together Credit Union, we will be able to communicate that purpose more clearly.

 

 

 

What motivated the name change?

After extensive research, we realized that by operating under three different names, and with names tied to specific companies, both members and non-members were confused about who can join.

We also calculated the amount of time and resources it took to maintain three brands, and realized it wasn’t the most effective way to serve our membership.

Looking at the whole picture, it became clear that in order to fulfill our mission, reach more people and provide the best return to our members, we needed to simplify into one name.

 

 

 

Why did we choose the name Together Credit Union?

We conducted extensive research with both members and non-members. The name Together Credit Union not only ranked number one in all categories of our research, it also just clicked.

  • Our three names are coming Together
  • We work Together with members every day to help you manage your money and achieve your goals
  • It ties into our heritage with both Anheuser-Busch and Purina:
    • The mission of Anheuser-Busch is to “bring people together for a better world”
    • Purina believes that “pets and people are better together

 

 

 

Does this mean the Credit Union is moving away from its affiliation with the Anheuser-Busch companies or Nestlé Purina?

Absolutely not! We are proud of our history with Anheuser-Busch Companies, wholesalers and distributors as well as with Nestlé Purina.  We would not be the strong credit union we are today without the continued support of the employees and their family members. We will continue to serve these companies and their employees, business as usual.

Our new name, Together Credit Union, emphasizes the overlap between our mission and those of both Anheuser-Busch and Purina, to bring people (and their pets) Together.

 

 

 

Why not just use one of the names we already had?

All three of our names were easy to get confused with other companies. We saw this a lot. “Anheuser-Busch” and “Purina” might be more obvious, but even “American Eagle” was often confused with American Eagle Outfitters, American Eagle Airlines, or one of the many other businesses that share the name. There is even an American Eagle Federal Credit Union, which confused both their members and ours.
